DAN "DANO" MEADOWS

In 1965, Dan Meadows began his martial arts training,
studying Kenpokido, Shito Ryu Karate, and Kobudo. In 1976,
Dan Meadows began his studies in Judo and Jiu Jitsu. In 1978, his
studies expanded to the American Kenpo Karate system. In 1980,
Dan Meadows met Prof. Harold Laranang Sr. of the Kajukenfu / Kajukenbo
system. Dan Meadows became the Chief Instructor for the KBKK system
under Prof. Laranang Sr. and was given the title of O'Sensei San.
During the 1970's, 1980's, and 1990's O'Sensei Meadows was an International
Tournament Competitor and Full Contact Karate fighter. Over the
years GM Meadows amassed hundreds of trophies and awards while
in international competitions. For several years, he was a World
Champion competitor in the Forms, Sparring, Weapons, and Full Contact
competitions.
In March 2000, just prior to the death of GGM
Ohn Ta Ji, Dan Meadows was named as the successor / inheritor of
the Kenpokido Fighting Arts System. Over the years GM Meadows has
trained military units, law enforcement officers, security guards,
supervisory & training officers, diplomatic bodyguards, and
the entertainment industry bodyguards. GM Meadows now gives
international seminars to martial artists, corporations, training
academies, school systems, and others worldwide. In addition, he
is an international tournament promoter for several sports competitive,
martial arts organizations. Currently GM Meadows teaches in Canada
and in the USA. You can find him on several martial arts organizations
Board of Directors, Standards Boards, Promotion & Testing Boards,
and Technical Advisory Councils.
The Kenpokido Fighting Arts Systemİ was created
by GGM Ohn Ta Ji in 1963. The International Headquarters for the
Kenpokido Fighting Arts Systemİ is now located at the Jade Dragon
Martial Arts Academyİ in the Toronto Ontario Canada area. (All
