SHIHAN DARYL F. JOHNSON
Daryl Johnson is originally from Brooklyn N.Y. and began his martial arts career with the late Dr Moses Powell and Master George Cofield. After leaving Brooklyn and joining the military he met Professor Wally Jay who helped him refine his Jujitsu skills and introduced him to Prof Tony Maynard. Law enforcement certifications include Less Lethal munitions, Baton, Hand to Hand combatives, Use of Force, Officer Survival. Daryl is a 6th Degree (Master Instructor) of Sanuces Ryu Jiu-Jitsu and 3rd Degree through Jujitsu America. Daryl has been training and competing nationally and internationally for 42 years, ending his competitive career as a two-time World Champion. Daryl also holds a European and several National titles. He has been a certified instructor for 32 years and his training includes ground defense, stick and knife fighting as well as other disciplines. Daryl utilizes these tactics as a law enforcement officer and is constantly proving their effectiveness on the street. He is also retired Master Sgt and an ex- Sheriff’s deputy.
