PROFESSOR MICHAEL ESMAILZADEH
Aikido
Professor Esmailzadeh is the head instructor of both
the Kokusai Shinkendo Renmei (International Shinkendo Federation)
in Northern California and Suigetsukan Dojo. He holds a Kyoshi
level teaching license and toku-e rank in Shinkendo, which he studies
under Toshishiro Obata Soke. He has been involved in martial arts
for 23 years and also hold a Godan in Danzan Ryu Jujitsu and Yondan
in Aikido Buken.
Mike was born in Germany and immigrated to the United
States at the age of twelve. Several months after arriving in the
United States, he began learning Jujitsu under the tutelage of
Professor David Bellman. Mike has trained in a variety of martial
arts/sports, including fencing, wrestling and Iaido. In 1990, he
left Los Angeles, California for Oakland and founded the Suigetsukan
Dojo.
