Seth Petruzelli is an American professional mixed martial artist and former K-1 kickboxer. He goes by the nickname "The Silverback". He currently fights for EliteXC. Seth hails from Cape Coral, Florida.
 Petruzelli started training martial arts at the age of 6 and continued training through his high school years. He was also a high school football player and wrestler.
Petruzelli was a member of the cast of The Ultimate Fighter 2 as a heavyweight fighter, but was eliminated in the semi-finals by Brad Imes after having defeated Dan Christison by unanimous decision in an elimination bout.
On October 4, 2008, at EliteXC: Heat, MMA fans got a big surprise when Petruzelli stepped up a weight class to fight Kimbo slice. Kimbo was scheduled to fight Ken Shamrock, but Shamrock opened a cut over his left eye in practice and was forced to step down. Seth was scheduled to fight in an undercard lightheavyweight bout but took the Slice challenge just hours before the fight. Petruzell defeated Kimbo Slice in 14 seconds by TKO!
