TONY KLEIN

Tony
started his martial arts training in Taekwondo
on January 1982 in Quincy, California.
In September of 1982 he moved to Minneapolis,
Minnesota where he continued his Taekwondo training.
In May 1983 missing the mountains he moved to Reno,
NV where he tried several different Taekwondo dojos.
In October 1986 he switched to Danzan Ryu
Jutjitsu taught at Unity Martial Arts by Professor
Larry Cary. He studied intensively until October
1986.
In 1994 he returned to his training under Professor
Cary and started teaching jujitsu and cane in
Portola, California. He received his Nidan on January
1998. He also studied the cane in the Goju -Shorei
Weapons System under Master Andy Tourin. He ended
his jujitsu training under Professor Ken Eddy in
January 2000 when he entered the field of law enforcement. Tony
was a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for 4 years (2000-2004)
with Storey County in Nevada.
He completed the Washoe County Sheriff Reserve
Academy in June 2001. His
professional firearm training started in March
of 1998 and has attended the following:

Tony
currently owns and operates Personal Defense,
where he teaches shooting sports, hunting, concealed carry and other advanced
tactical classes, tactical handgun being his favorite. He offers instructor
certification though the NRA in 10 different
disciplines. He’s
currently studying precision rifle and precision
reloading, and competes in the AR-15 High Power Rifle Shoot.
