The game of golf Resort with TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons

I bought a set of these irons, the Callaway x forged 2009 and I have a Callaway F5 driver 8.5 degree, I went to course the day I got them last week and I hit a few wedges on the range and went to the couse. I have played 1971 TaylorMade Burner 2.0 , 74 Hogan irons , 77 Ping irons, In 1983 I went back to Hogan Irons , 2002 Hogan Blades plus and now Callaway and they are 1 inch longer. Should I adjust my swing or can I have 1 inch cut off and regrip with winn grips black wrap# 5 is what I like. I am 6'1" and played golf 45 years 5 hdcp. I love the feel for TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons, I love the pureness of the flight after hit, they have easy touch around the greens, the feel is awesome and the spin is just right on approach less than 150 yards and the feel when I pull thru with the 4 iron is a new feeling and I love it, I call them weightless long Irons, the balance is great.
