MARTIAL OCEANS PRESENTS BATTLE ON THE 7 SEAS
An Interview with Tony Calvino and Rebecca Greenough Of Martial Ocean
http://www.martialoceans.com/
USADOJO.COM: So this is a new venue for you?
Tony & Becky: It’s new for any one. This will be the first interntional mma and traditional tournament ever held on a cruise ship. The winners of this event will be the first IWW Champions!
USADOJO.COM: What is an IWW Chmpions?
Tony & Becky: IWW stands for International Waters World Champion. Remember Dana, that when you are in International waters you have no countries and no borders. The winners can claim a title that bears no allegiance to any one country. Your title is not from the US, England, Russia or any where else, but from the high seas; you are IWWC title holder.
It will be exciting to have this unique championship. I (Tony) was the Koshiki Full Contact Champion in Canada, and we respect and admire all who compete and win in any tournament, but it will be really different to hold a title that isn't tied to any country.
USADOJO.COM: Tell me about the cruise and how the tournament fits into the cruise?
Tony & Becky: The cruise doesn't only include the tournament on the ship, but seminars with world renowned masters as well. We will be traveling on the "Carnival “Dream”, one of Carnival Cruise Lines newest ships. The ship will be completed and launched in November 2009.

The cruise will begin in Florida Cape Canaveral, and it will leave for Nassau, Bahamas on Saturday the 17th of July 2010. That evening we will have a "Meet and Greet" cocktail party where people will have an opportunity to meet with and network with martial artists and their families from all over the world.
After arriving in Nassau, we will deboard the ship for the day and visit this beautiful Island. The ship will then set sail for St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. While we are sailing for the day, our seminars will take place.
Our master instructors include masters from many different styles and backgrounds, and attendees can leave the ship with a great deal more martial arts knowledge than they may have enjoyed when they boarded. Seminars are only $50.00 each if you register and pay before October 31st, 2009.

After the seminars, dinner will be spent together so that we can continue to get to know one another. The next day we will spend in St. Thomas USVI, an extremely beautiful island with all kinds of places to visit. Don't forget your souvenirs!

The day after, we will dock on the island of St. Marteen. The Island is divided into two countries, the French and the Dutch.

When we are back at sea, the first ever Battle On The 7 Seas tournament will begin!
Winners for each division will be determined during the first day of competition and they will receive the IWWC title for their particular division. The winners from each of these divisions will then have the opportunity to attend the next day and compete for the Grand Champion IWWC titles.
That evening, after the tournament, will include our last dinner together and the presentation of awards and belts to the tournament winners.
It sounds great doesn't it, a seven day cruise…a great time with family and friends, superb training with the masters, and the first Battle On The 7 Seas International Waters World Championships.
USADOJO.COM: Wow, it does sound great and it also sounds like we will be very busy! What is the cost and how does it compare to traditional tournaments held in hotels and arenas?
Tony & Becky: Let's start with the tournament, which costs only $50.00 for unlimited competition. In comparison to other MA events that require payment for each individual event, they can cost in the hundreds of dollars. Just make sure you sign up before November 31, 2009. fter Nivember 31, 2009 seminar prices are as follow:
Book by January 1, 2009 and each Masters Training Seminar is $70.00
Book by February 1, 2010 and each Masters Training Seminar is $85.00
Book by April 1, 2010 and each Masters Training Seminar is $100.00
Book after May 1,2006 and each Masters Training Seminar is $125.00
The event entrance fees for spectators will be five dollars if they sign up and pay before the end of 2009 and $10 on the ship. We will arrange seating for VIP’s and we will have front row seating and both sets of seats will be $20 whether purchased before or during the cruise.
Entry into the convention and vendors area will be free for our people and all passengers. The tables at the convention and vendors area will cost $800 for companies that want to promote their products at this event and multi-table discounts are available.
USADOJO.COM: What about the cruise, how much is that?
Tony & Becky: The cabin/room cost includes the entertainment on the ship, food (you can eat 24 hours a day), coffee, tea and sodas, but does not include liquor.
We will be providing a $100 dollar room credit when people sign up for their cabin and if they sign up for the cabins before the end of October, they will also receive an extra $50 credit to be used to participate in the tournament or master’s seminars. So basically, if they sign up in time they could get $150 room credit. The cost for the cabins is $670 plus tax for an inside cabin and $1,050 for an Ocean view with a balcony. This price is for double occupancy.
