Martial Arts Makes a Difference And So Do Martial Artists!

Happy New Year Everyone! Great ideas are brewing at USADOJO.COM this year. We are just beginning a new project, our YOUTH CENTER. We have BIOGRAPHIES of notable young martial artists. We have PROFILES of martial arts youth who are over comers and who make a difference in their communities. Our most exciting endeavor within the YOUTH CENTER is our desire to become a centralized location for community projects that instructors and their students can become involved with. Martial Arts makes a difference in each of our lives as individuals and collectively and we want to come together dojo by dojo to make a difference in our communities and in our world.

We want all of you involved in the YOUTH CENTER by providing us with photos and biographies of our most notable young martial artists. We want to know about the youth in your dojos who are accomplishing great things within your communities and we want to know your ideas for community projects that dojos would love to participate in. If you have a project and you want to share it with other dojos, we want to help you do just that. We also want to bring dojos together to work on projects.

One of the first projects we are sharing with you comes from Cody Clark. You can read about him in the PROFILES section of of the YOUTH CENTER. Cody has created Cody's Comfort Kits and he is now trying to raise funds for his newest project and I will let him tell you about it in his own words:

"I also got some news about my next venture which will be "Cody's Cuddler's"! These will be teddy bears that I will give to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre in honour of giving my dad such great treatment while he was on chemotherapy!

I will need at least 500 bears to start and they are approximately $15.00 a bear. The bears will wear a t-shirt and on this t-shirt there will be my message and on the back will be the company sponsor logo etc.

I got the news that they want me to do this for them and now I have to get a sponsor!!! Do you know of any company that might like to help me???

(How about it! Do we know anyone out there who wants to get involved and help Cody with his new project? Your dojo perhaps!)

Whatever the companies can provide is fine with me because many companies can split the price and still have the company name on board!!! Let me know and thank you very much for doing so much for me as it is!!!
