Three Creative Ideas for USA DOJO Members

An idea is the currency you use to add value to your program and to distinguish yourself from your competitors (soccer, football, dance, TV, etc.). A new idea can spark your enthusiasm. A new idea can start a new profit center for your school or entice the media to take note of what you’re doing. Best of all, a new idea can result in excited students --and student excitement fuels all sorts of other events and activities in your business.

Here are three ideas that I think are worth your time and energy to explore.

1. www.5aday.com
The 5 a Day program is all about how people eat. This site has a ton of free resources and it is DIETARY SELF-DEFENSE at its finest. Sure, teach your students how to block kicks and punches, but don’t forget to teach them how important diet is to a healthy mind, body, and spirit!

2. www.ultimateblackbelttest.com
Ok, yes, this is my program --but let me tell you, it is also a revolution in testing and test-thinking. If you’re looking for new ideas for testing and teaching, this is a great place to go.

3. www.thekidshalloffame.com
Go ahead, take a look at the kids on this site and then imagine YOUR students doing things that get them into the Kids Hall of Fame. We’re talking about a win for your students, their parents, your community, and, of course, you. This is exactly the kind of stuff your students could and should be known for, after all, you teach them “black belt thinking!”
