Hi, I'm Tom Callos. First off, I can't do anything for you, no consultant or know-it-all can. You have to change your behavior to get different results in your school. Most of the time, you have to change your beliefs and your attitude first, then your behaviors follow. Second, you can't find what you're looking for from one source. Nobody has the perfect system and nobody in the martial arts can do what you do --as you are unique (and you want to keep it that way). Third, chasing the buck is just about the last thing you want to get caught up into. Yes, you must make money to survive, but if you start spending too much time on how to make it, you can lose the very magic that brings it your way. You are a martial artist first, a business-person second. Don't forget that (if you do, this is where we part ways --until you tire of the chase). Fourth, I'm not going to help you learn the basics of running a martial arts school. There are a number of people and organizations in the martial arts community that can help you with that. What I'm going to do is challenge you to think bigger, no…I mean I'm going to challenge you to experiment, create, invent, and to be bold and proceed with your instincts. I have two programs/ideas I want you to look at. They are indicative of the kind of experimentation I believe in and am known for: · www.ultimateblackbelttest.com This is the Ultimate Black Belt Test --and it contains some of what your tests will be like in the near future (good ideas, more effective methods). · www.actsofmarketing.com (read more about actsofmarketing below) This is a brand new concept to tackle an age old problem. Register now for free and help me polish this while you help your school to grow. I'm not telling you about these programs to sell you anything --I'm sharing them with you to light the spark of your own creativity. That’s it for this newsletter. I like my advice to be short, sweet, creative, and effective. Your friend, |
