Former two-time UFC® welterweight champion Matt Hughes went after an unprecedented third title against Brazilian slugger Thiago “Pitbull” Alevs, but did not . Other bouts feature Michael “The Count” Bisping, Brandon “The Truth” Vera, Fabricio “Vai Cavalo” Werdum, Mike “Quick” Swick, and Marcus “The Irish Hand Grenade” Davis.

Alves defeats Hughes by TKO (knee) at 1:02 of Round 2
but Alves was not ablee to make the welterweight limit of 170 lbs, his official weight was 174 lbs.
Michael Bisping vs. Jason Day
Bisping defeats Day by TKO (strikes) at 3:42 of Round 1.
Brandon Vera vs. Fabricio Werdum
Werdum defeats Vera by TKO (strikes) at 4:40 of Round 1
Marcus Davis vs. Mike Swick
Swick defeated Davis by unanimous decision. All three judges scored the bout 29-27. Swick lost 1 point in round 3 for holding onto the cage.
Nate Marquardt vs. Thales Leites
Leites defeats Marquardt by split decision (28-27, 28-27, 27-28). Nate Marquardt lost 2 points during this fight, one in round 2 for an illegal knee to the head of a downed opponent and another in round 3 becasue of an elbow to the back of the Leites head.
Martin Kampmann vs. Jorge Rivera
Kampmann defeats Rivera by submission (guillotine) at 2:44 of Round 1
